Sacred places are like thresholds to other realms where the physical world seems to merge with the spiritual world. The miscellany of such places reflects the diversity of our human history and culture. 

 

Sometimes I am a mindful pilgrim making way with contemplative intent to reach a destination considered sacred, other times I stumble on sites that I paint sacred with my palette of causative colours blending shades of time, mind and heart.

 

By following heart we walk a path towards truth leading directly into the arms of Sacred Mother Earth. Mind is the constant process of seeking sacredness through revealing what is hidden. An instrument of sensation continuously turning, seeking reality and something to hold on to.

 

These selections of places have evoked awe, inspiration, and a sense of wonder. Some places are sacred by nature, some are places of miracles, some connected to religion, and some have personal sacredness.

 

The mysterious and stilling presence of such places is presented from a surrealist perspective layering captured elements and energies caught with my camera to portray sacred sites that have resonated deeply exposing a world that only the inner eye can see.
